Title: Clinical Evaluation of Partial Pulpotomy in Cariously Exposed Pulps of Young Permanent Molars
Abstract: Objective: To assess the clinical outcome of partial pulpotomy on young permanent molars with carious pulp expose.Methods: Forty-one young permanent molars of 35 patients with carious exposure were treated with a partial pulpotomy technique.Patients were follow-uped after 2 weeks,1,3,6,12 and 24 months.Results: Thirty-eight treated teeth did not show any clinical or radiographic signs of failure during the follow-up period.One tooth developed actue pulpitis after 2 weeks and two teeth failed after 6 months and 12 months due to the loss of restoration.The successful rate of this treatment was 92.68%.Conclusion: Partial pulpotomy may be a successful and effective treatment for cariously exposed young permanent molars.
