Title: Nominalization of Grammatical Metaphor and Interpretation
Abstract: In Halliday's opinion, nominalization is the single most powerful resource for creating grammatical metaphor. However, there is typically some loss of information in clauses in the processing of nominalization, which results in the difficulties having a full understanding of nominalization clauses. This paper first investigates the different means of nominalization, and then its roles in metaphor and presupposition. At last,it investigates the difficulties in understanding of those clauses and possible solutions.
