Abstract:It is an important feature of current regional and urban economic development that city size and urban-rural income gap are increasing.Based on the direct variables of the per capita disposable income...It is an important feature of current regional and urban economic development that city size and urban-rural income gap are increasing.Based on the direct variables of the per capita disposable income of urban residents,per capita net income of rural residents,urban population,rural population and the total population of China's 31 provincial-level regions from 2000 to 2010,the paper builds an individual solid effect model containing two variables of the Theil index and urban size to analyse the relationship between them,The result shows that they are cointegrated with an influence coefficient of 2.6741%,and the urban expansion is still not conducive to narrow the urban-rural income gap.Read More
