Title: TCM Syndrome Elements and The Distribution Law of 100 Parkinson Patients
Abstract: Objective To study TCM syndrome elements and their distribution law of parkinson disease (PD). Methods The Table of TCM Clinical Information of PD Patients based on the main symptoms and TCM syndromes of 100 PD patients was designed according to the standardization terms. It mainly included the general information, history of disease, clinical manifestations, diagnosis, etc. Seventy-four symptoms were screened out for sample clustering analysis. Results Thirteen common symptoms of PD were generalized,i.e. tremor of hands and feet, contraction of limbs, numbness of limbs, dull facial expressions, retarded speech, slow movement, clumsy movement, unsteady walking, festinating gait, predisposed to pain, head shaking, stiff neck, head and chest bending forward. Of the syndrome elements, blood stasis and wind were mostly common in the tremor type, while blood stasis and yang deficiency were mostly common in the non-tremor type. Of the location elements, liver and kidney are mainly involved, and then spleen. In the syndrome classification, the four syndromes such as kidney yang deficiency with blood stasis in the interior, liver and kidney yin deficiency with blood stasis and wind-stirring,both qi and blood deficiency, phlegm heat with blood stasis and wind-stirring were common. Conclusion PD owns a Ben-root deficiency, with wind and blood stasis in the whole process of disease, cold, yang deficiency, yin deficiency,qi deficiency, and blood deficiency occupying larger and larger percentage in the development of disease; with liver and kidney involved in the whole process of disease, heart and spleen occupying larger and larger percentage in the development of disease.
