Title: Investigating of Reference Intervals of Plasma Creatinine
Abstract: Objective To set up reference intervals of plasma creatinine in clinical laboratory. Methods Plasma creatinine was measured in 959 health adults whose age were above 18(442 males and 517 females) by using Jaffe kinetic assay in Roche Modular 020 analyzer, the data were analyzed. Results Plasma creatinine levels distribution was logarithm normal distribution,There was significant difference between male and female adult groups(P0.01).There was no significant difference among male adult groups, reference intervals of plasma creatinine of health male adults was 57.3 μmol/L to 111.3 μmol/L.There was significant difference between female whose age were more than 61 years old groups and adult female whose age were less than 61 years old groups(P0.05).There was no significant difference among other female adult groups.Reference intervals of plasma creatinine of health female adults was 43.8 μmol/L to 83 μmol/L whose age were among 18~60 years old and was 45 μmol/L to 97 μmol/L whose age were more than 61 years old. Conclusion Reference intervals are important for early prevention, diagnosis, therapeutic effect and prognosis of disease. Each clinical laboratory should establish itself different reference intervals.
