Title: Allelopathic Effects of Imperata Cylindrical Decomposed Liquid on Three Kinds of Turf Grasses
Abstract: According to the fact that Imperata koenigii often invades into cold season turf,causing serious harm to turf quality,the allelpathic effects of its aquatic extracts on the germination energy,germination rate,germination index,seedling height,root height,fresh weight,dry weight of three kinds of turf grasses including Lolium perenne,Festuca arundinacea and Poa pratensis were studied.Results of bioassay showed that seeds germination,seedling growth and the biomass structure of the three kinds of turf grasses were significantly affected by the aqueous extracts of Imperata cylindrical with different concentration.A high concentration significantly inhibited the growth and development of turf grass.The allelopathic effects of Imperata cylindrical decomposed liquid on three kinds of turf grasses were in the order of Poa pratensisFestuca arundinaceaLolium perenne.
