Abstract: By using the western musical language and from the Chinese aesthetic hobbies of music,Chen Peixun′s Bolt Thunder in a Drought and other five Cantonese music piano transcriptions successfully explore the perspectives of basic national style of music title and contents,Cantonese Tunethroughout the mode and tonality of the music,nationality of timbre techniques and application of harmonic texture.Chen Peixun adapted and created works featuring Chinese aesthetic charm by showing the thoughts and feeling of distinctive national characteristics.With his contribution,the Cantonese piano music is an integral part of Chinese piano music and thus enriches the world music culture.
