Title: New Interpretations of the Essential Characteristics of Althusser Philosophy
Abstract: The structuralist Marxist philosopher in the twentieth century, Althusser produced a novel form of Marxism by attempting to integrate into it the dominant ideas of structuralism. Althusser's version of Marxism received both praise and criticism. Those in favor of his philosophy believed that he had broken through the traditional way of interpreting Marxism and found a new approach to research into Marxist philosophy. Those against his ideas claimed that he pretended to be a defender of Marxist to distort Marxism, subjectively counterfeited Marxist theories, propagated structuralism under the guise of Marxism and attempted to replace Marxism with structuralism. Althusser actively responded to those criticisms and ingeminated his inimitable understandings of Marxist philosophy.
