Title: How to Evaluate the Contribution of China to the Victory of World War II
Abstract: In WWⅡ,China theater is one of the three theaters of the Global War against Fascism,in parallel with European theater and the Pacific theater. Ignoring China theater is equal to ignore the whole picture of the war and the Japanese aggression against Asian countries and people. China has fought and struggled for the longest time and sacrificed the most. As the largest land theater,China theater was characterized by fighting happened at points,in lines, and on surfaces at the same time. China had greatly supported the Soviet Union, who could dedicate to deal with the German, avoiding a two-front war situation. For the United States, due to the role of China,Japan could not send all troops to the Pacific theater Southeast Asia. China's great power status in World War II,is actually attributed to its huge contribution. Because of China's insistence,Japanese Fascist army got into real trouble. Its failure is inevitable. In the process of resistance against Japanese aggression, the Chinese's notion of a nation state had not yet fully formed at the beginning but awaked up by the Japanese invasion. The main reason for Chinese troops' heavy losses was their weak firepower.
