Title: The Effect of Sulfuric Acid Addition on the Leaching Behavior of Chromite
Abstract: The leaching behavior of iron and chromium has been researched, which used the sulfuric acid leaching method of chromite. Thermodynamic studies indicated that the leaching rate of chromium increased with increasing the addition of sulfuric acid, but for iron the leaching rate increased at first and then decreased. As the ratio of sulfuric and chromite was 2.5,the leaching rate of iron reached the max, which is 70.1 %; and the ferrochromium spinel phase disappeared, silicate of iron and silica phase appeared with increasing the addition of sulfuric acid.
