Title: Manifestations of MSCT of pulmonary aspergillosis: analysis of 12 cases
Abstract: Objective To analyze manifestations of Multi- slice computed tomography( MSCT ) of pulmonary aspergillosis in order to improve level of diagnosis of pulmonary aspergillosis. Methods The clinical data and data of MSCT of 12 cases of pulmonary aspergillosis confirmed by pathology and treatment were retrospectively analyzed. Results Among 12 cases aspergilloma was found in 8 cases, invasive pulmonary aspergillosis in 4 cases. The lesions were located at right lung in 7 cases, at left in 3 cases, at both lung in 2 cases. The images of MSCT of aspergillomas showed a hollow nodule in 8 cases, of which thin wall cavity accompanying a nodule with the meniscus sign was seen in 6 cases. The images of MSCT of invasive pulmonary aspergillosis showed anomalous spotted patchy opacification, mottling infiltration shadow and ground glass shadow in 2 cases, the pulmonary nodular and subpleural wedge-shaped consolidation with halo sign in 2 cases. Conclusion Understanding characteristic manifestations of pulmonary aspergillosis is valuable to earlier diagnosis and treatment of pulmonary aspergillosis.
