Abstract:The hot deformation behaviors of Ti53311S alloy in the temperature range of 880~1080℃and the strain rate range of 0.001~10 s-1 were studied by using hot compressing testing on a Gleeble-1500 simulator...The hot deformation behaviors of Ti53311S alloy in the temperature range of 880~1080℃and the strain rate range of 0.001~10 s-1 were studied by using hot compressing testing on a Gleeble-1500 simulator. The flow behavior was described by the constitutive equation. The deformation activation energy of 377 kJ/mol in (α+β) region and 648 kJ/mol in β region was calculated. The microstructure of deformed specimens was observed and the processing maps were calculated and analyzed. The results show that Ti53311S alloy is sensitive to temperature and strain rate; the sensitivity exponent of strain rate decreases with the increase of temperature, while the deformation activation energy increases with the increase of temperature; the leading deformation mechanism of Ti53311S alloy is dynamic recover and dynamic recrystallization; the optimum hot working conditions are that the deformation temperature is below the phase transition temperature, the strain rate is between 0.01~10 s-1.Read More
