Title: Heterogeneity Analysis of the Income Gap and Individual Health of the Rural Residents
Abstract: With data collected by national nutrition sampling survey in 2006 and rural individuals aged above 18 as the research objects,RSPL were applied to analyze the heterogeneity of the income gap and individual health of the rural residents by establishing multi-layer logistic regression model.Empirical evidence demonstrated that:(1) Income gap could,to some extent, explain heterogeneity exists between individual health of residents from different counties and heterogeneity of the effect of per capita income of rural households and age on health.(2) For low-income rural residents, widening the income gap will weaken the positive effect of income on health;for middle-aged rural residents, widening the gap will strengthen the negative effect of age on health.
