Abstract:The 20-year relationship(1990-2010) between the issue of An East Asian Community and the U.S.has been complicated and confusing.The behaviors of the U.S.during the period of the Asian Financial Crisis...The 20-year relationship(1990-2010) between the issue of An East Asian Community and the U.S.has been complicated and confusing.The behaviors of the U.S.during the period of the Asian Financial Crisis directly lead to the emergence of the idea of An East Asian Community which the U.S.dislikes most.After that,the U.S.has watched and opposed the efforts of the East Asian nations working at building the East Asian Community,forestalling Japan,her economic rival,or socialist China to lead the coming East Asian Community,planning to replace the coming East Asian Community with APEC headed by the U.S.itself.Nevertheless,the U.S.asks to join the East Asian Community.But it is unsuitable to become the member of the East Asian Community,because the U.S.is not a nation belonging to the economic bloc of East Asia,and her current East Asian policies go against the establishment of the East Asian Community.However,the U.S.can continue to involve in the Asian economy even though it would be a non-member of the East Asian Community.Read More
