Title: Dual Context Window Bit-Parallel Coding for EBCOT and FPGA Architecture
Abstract: The EBCOT coding efficiency becomes the bottleneck in JPEG2000 encoder system. After the detailed analysis of EBCOT algorithm and pass-parallel coding technique, a dual context window bit-parallel coding method and its architecture for hardware implementation are proposed. The novel context window bit-parallel coding system improves the system performance significantly by reducing the number of clock cycles, and it was verified on FPGA.
