Title: Clinical Observation of Vertigo due to Vertebrobasilar Insufficiency Treated with Integrated Chinese and Western Medicine
Abstract: Objective To observe the clinical efficacy on vertigo due to vertebrobasilar insufficiency(VBI)treated with dingxuan huoxue decoction and gastrodin injection.Methods116 cases were randomized into two groups.60 cases in treatment group were treated with dingxuan huoxue decoction and gastrodin injection.56 cases in control group were treated simply with gastrodin injection.ResultsThe total effective rate in treatment group was 98.3% that was superior remarkably to control group, indicating statistical significant difference(P0.05).As compared with the results before treatment, either of the groups presented the effects on increasing brain blood flow and reducing blood viscosity(P0.05 or P0.01),but the improvements in the above indexes in treatment group were superior remarkably to control group, indicating statistical significant difference in comparison(P0.05 or P0.01).ConclusionThe integrated therapy of dingxuan huoxue decoction and gastrodin injection can remarkably improve the efficacy on vertigo, reduce whole blood viscosity and fibrinogen, increase brain blood flow and improve brain circulation and have definite efficacy on VBI-induced vertigo.
