Abstract: Matsucoccus sinensis has one generation a year in Xuanwei and overwinters as nymph in the second instar on the leaves of Pinus yunnanensis.The male larva in the third instar emerges in the first ten days of March and pupates.The adult appears in the first ten days of April and the female begins to lay eggs in mid April.The newly hatched nymph appears in late May.The best time for chemical control is mid March,the last ten days of April and mid June.
