Title: Intergral constraints due to stable pole-zero near cancellation in multivariable feedback system
Abstract: The time domain integral constraints on error response for multivariable feedback control systems due to near cancellation of nominal's stable zero and compensator's stable pole near the jω-axis are developed.These integral constraints give new insight into the inherent trade-offs.It will result in the settling time longer or error response infinite norm larger when there are near cancellation of stable pole-zero near the jω-axis.Hence,when designing feedback control system,it is necessary to avoid the compensator's poles and zeros nearly cancellation the nominal's zeros and poles(even if these poles and zeros are stable).The effect on the ability of feedback control to reject disturbances is also discussed.
