Title: Study on cyclic voltammetry of lithium manganese oxides in aqueous electrolyte
Abstract: The spinel lithium manganese oxide doped by lithium Li1.01Mn1.99O4 was synthesized by chelated method. AAS was used to determine it's composition, and XRD, SEM, FT-IR and cyclic voltammetry in aqueous electrolyte were also carried out. The results show that at the low scan rate, there are a voltammetric wave (centered at 3.2 V) and two voltammetric wave (centered at 4.2 V), correspond to Li+ insertion and removal in spinel in the cyclic voltammetry of Li1.01Mn1.99O4. In LiNO3 solution, nickel grid cannot be used as a current collector, whereas stainless steel grid is a good current collector. Water oxidation in high potential and dissolution in aqueous electrolyte perhaps play a role in capacity loss. The electrode material has better reversibility in aqueous electrolyte.
