Title: Experimental and numerical analyses of load transfer characteristics of prestressed concrete pipe pile in deep soft soil
Abstract: The results of axial loading tests on prestressed concrete pipe pile in deep soft soil were discussed, which pile was built on Shangyu North Station in the Hangzhou — Ningbo high-speed railway for the reinforcement treatment of deep soft soil. An analytical model was used to evaluate the limit skin friction at the pile-soil interface. The model based on the hyperbolic transfer function technique and back analysis was carried out. The parameters were modified by fitting the measured pile shaft forces or pile top settlement to compute simulation results depending on whether the axial force test data are available. The results show that using the proposed method, the parameters can be easily obtained. The calculated pile top displacement and axial force are consistent with test values in both cases. The proposed method is helpful to further research on the bearing characteristic of pile foundation and pile-soil interaction mechanism, and provides convenience for the estimation of pile foundation settlement.
