Title: Numerical Simulation of Clocking Effect in Reducing Rotor Blade Unsteady Aerodynamic Force
Abstract: An investigation of clocking effect in a 1.5-stage compressor was performed using NUMECA software, the simulation was focused on the influence of the relative circumferential position of the IGV and the stator blade on the rotor unsteady aerodynamic force and the surface pressure coefficient profile. The configuration with a blade count ratio of 1:1:1 was a simplified pattern of NUAA LSC.In order to analyze the influence of the upstream wakes and the downstream potential effect respectively, the IGV-rotor and rotor-stator configurations were also simulated. The results show that the rotor unsteady aerodynamic force can be reduced prominently when the relative circumferential position of the IGV and the stator blade altered.
