Title: Experimental Study and Numerical Analysis of the Vibration Impact Induced by Moving Trains on Nearby Buildings
Abstract: Field tests were carried out on a 6-storey masonry building near Beijing-Guangzhou Railway to study the influence law of the vibrations induced by the moving train on nearby buildings.Test analysis shows that the vibration amplitude of floors ascends with the height of the building, and the vertical vibration of the top floor is 1~2 dB higher than that of the bottom floor. The vibration of the same floor decreases with the increase of the distance away from the railway track.Under the same train speed, the vibration induced by freight train is 5~6 dB bigger than that by passenger trains. The outdoor ground vibrations are much greater than the indoor floor vibrations.A spatial dynamics analysis model of train-track-soil-building is also presented,in which the deformation compatibility is considered in the contact between soil and building foundation. The dynamic response rule of the building under the action of the moving trains is calculated and the calculation results are compared with the measured results. It shows that the given model can better forecast the vibrations of nearby building induced by moving trains.
