Title: Therapeutic Observation on Acupuncture plus Along-meridian Tapping-needling for Cervical Spondylosis of Vertebral Artery Type
Abstract: Objective To observe the clinical efficacy of combining acupuncture and along-meridian tapping-needling in treating cervical spondylosis of vertebral artery type.Method Eighty-two patients with cervical spondylosis of vertebral artery type were randomized into a treatment group(n=44) and a control group(n=38).The treatment group was intervened by acupuncture plus along-meridian tapping-needling and the control group was by ordinary acupuncture. The therapeutic efficacies were evaluated after 3 treatment courses.Result The recovery rate and total effective rate were respectively 68.2% and 100.0% in the treatment group versus 26.3% and 86.8% in the control group, and the differences were both statistically significant(P0.01,P0.05).Conclusion Combining acupuncture and along-meridian tapping-needling is an effective approach in treating cervical spondylosis of vertebral artery type.
