Abstract:The magnesium alloy casting billets with the thickness range from 3 mm to 4 mm are produced by self-designed vertical twin roll casting machine,the microstructure of billets is observed and analyzed,t...The magnesium alloy casting billets with the thickness range from 3 mm to 4 mm are produced by self-designed vertical twin roll casting machine,the microstructure of billets is observed and analyzed,the magnesium alloy sheets manufactured by different temperature rolling technology and its microstructure with properties are studied.The results show that the magnesium alloy sheets manufactured by casting-warm rolling(T =280 ℃)have a good performance of surface quality,excellent microstructure and mechanical properties, the maximum tensile strength is 260 MPa and the extension rate is 11.5%.Its first deep-draw limit coefficient of m e =0.77,it can draw with a standardized cup and show some formability. Therefore,the casting-warm rolling method is a better way to produce the magnesium alloy sheet.Read More
