Title: Application of response surface method to study water cut change in horizontal wells of bottom water reservoirs
Abstract: This paper studied the law of water cut change in horizontal wells of bottom water reservoirs in order to reduce the effect of bottom water coning on reservoir development. Six influential factors(horizontal well dimensionless location,oil/water viscosity ratio, angel between horizontal interval and principal permeability direction,vertical/horizontal permeability ratio, horizontal length and reservoir thickness) on Parameter b,which characterizes water breakthrough in horizontal well, have been scrutinized by using Box-Behnken experimental design method based on numerical simulation model of bottom water reservoir. In the later period of the experiment, the influence sequence and interaction of the influential factors on the change of water cut in horizontal wells were obtained by using response surface method. The research results are of theoretical and field guiding significance to the development of bottom water reservoir with horizontal wells.
