Title: Psychological Investigations and Interviews among Female Drug Addicts
Abstract: This research is based on in-depth investigations and interviews among the 29 female drug addicts in the affiliated rehabilitation center to the Wuhan Reeducation-through-Labor Bureau, in respect of their psychological health and the family education they received. The findings are as follows: (1)The female drug addicts' health was not as good as that of normal persons nationwide in terms of somatization, compulsion and depression (P0.01). (2)The early educational methods their parents used on them were characterized by lax control, rejection and denial. (3)Life experience and undesirable family, school and social backgrounds were chiefly responsible for the early frustration sustained by those drug addicts. Accordingly, the authors advocate integrating drugabuse prevention with drug-addicts rehabilitation.
