Methods: The electromyography and nerve conduction velocities were measured in 26 patients with occupational exposure to Nhexane by using the technique of regulation electromyography,Including compound muscle action potentials( CMAP),sensory nerve action potentials( SNAP),electromyography( EMG). Results: In 26 patients with occupational exposure to N-hexane,the CMAP and SNAP amplitude of left ulnar nerve decreased. The SNAP conduction velocity of right median nerve, bilateral ulnar nerve, bilateral sural nerve slowed. In EMG test, high amplitude of motor unit potential( MUP) was seen in limb muscles at the proximal ends. The MUP of the limb muscles at the distal ends were nomal. Conclusion: Nerve electrophysiological examination can detect early damage of nervous system of occupational exposure to N-hexane. It has important meaning for clinical therapy and the improvement of life standard of patient with occupational disease.Read More
