Title: Analgesic Effect of PCA in Postoperative Patients of General Surgery
Abstract: Objective To explore nursing care for post-operative patients with patient-controlled analgesia(PCA),so as to provide clinical evidence for improving analgesic effect and relieving pain. Methods The subjects in the study were 210 patients undergoing operations of general surgery from June of 2002 to December of 2005.The observational group(n=108) used PCA,while the control group(n=102) used traditional analgesic method. The analgesic effects of PCA and traditional method were observed and compared between the two groups. Results The effective rate of PCA was 93.5%,significantly better than that of the control group(P0.01).Conclusion The effect of PCA in postoperative patients undergoing operations of general surgery is optimal. It can decrease the pain of postoperative patients and improve their quality of life.
