Title: Soil Nutrient Status in Chenzhou Tobacco Planting Areas
Abstract: We analyzed 734 of soil samples from major tobacco planting counties in Chenzhou. The result indicated that,in Chenzhou tobacco planting regions, soils were slightly alkali, average organic matter content was 42.30 g/kg,which was higher than the average in Hunan province.Soil total N and available N content was relatively high.Soil total P content,on average, was 0.93 g/kg.Soil available P content varied widely, only 20.84% of the samples were in the suitable range(10-20 mg/kg).Soil total K and available K contents were relately low, which increased gradually from south to north and from west to east. Most of tobacco planting areas were B deficiency.Available B content in 91.28% of the soil samples was lower than critical value of 0.30 mg/kg.Available Zn content was relatively high.Available Zn in 52.04% of soil samples was in the suitable range(2-4 mg/kg).Available Mn content in 37.53% of soil samples was higher than 20 mg/kg.Available Cu content in 79.57% of soil samples was higher than 1 mg/kg.Available Fe content,on aveage, was 87.23 mg/kg.Available Mg content in soils from granite was generally low,and tobacco had Mg deficiency.
