Title: On Ming Dynasty's Management of Northwest Ethnic Areas
Abstract: The general tendency of Ming Dynasty's management of Northwest Areas was that it withdrew from the areas step by step.As a result the Ming could not integrate the west areas, and the defending of Hexi Corridors was its heavy burden. However,it got great success in exploration of Gansu and Qinghai Tibetan areas, effectively stabilizing social security of the areas, and therefore being able to concentrate its military strength to fight against Mongolian aggression from the north.
