Title: Inhibition of anthraquinone in Rheum officinale on Helicobacter pylori
Abstract: AIM To study the inhibiting effect of four extracts of anthraquinone in Rheum officinale on Helicobacter pylori . METHODS Four compounds of anthraquinone in Rheum officinale were extracted with gradient alkaline extration. Their inhibiting effects in Helicobacter pylori were studied by the test tube and the paper diffusion dilution method. RESULTS Dilitability and Helicobacter pylori inhibited annulus of extracts anthraquinone in Rheum officinale were emodin 1∶252 (30mm), rhein 1∶168 (28mm), chrysophanol 1∶128 (24mm) and aloe emodin 1∶118 (23mm), respectively. Control sample Rheum officinale extracts was 1∶58 (15mm). CONCLUSION Four compounds of anthraquinone in Rheum officinale can inhibit the growth of Helicobacter pylori .
