Title: A measurement analysis of subway thermal environment characteristics of the coupling airflow between air-conditioning air supply and piston wind
Abstract: The mutual coupling between the air-conditioning air supply and the piston wind is the typical characteristic of the airflow organization in subway station.Through the field measurement in the closed environmental control system, the velocity and temperature of the coupling airflow at different measurement points below the typical jet vary with time and the train condition on the platform and station hall. The research indicates that the fluctuation range of the velocity and temperature, and average temperature on the platform are larger than those on the station hall with the maximum velocity fluctuation range of 129%.The trend of the coupling airflow velocity is close to that of the piston wind, and the coupling temperature lies between the temperatures of the piston wind and the solo air-conditioning air supply. The comfort indexes RWI and HDR in transition region are adopted. The comfort level under the air-condition airflow alone is better than that of the coupling airflow. The comfort level in the station hall is better than that on the platform. The results can provide reference to the comfort and energy-saving design and operation of subway environmental control.
