Title: Potassium Deactivation and Regeneration Method of V_2O_5-WO_3/TiO_2 SCR Catalyst
Abstract: Alkaline metals, especially potassium, can induce serious deactivation to SCR catalysts. In this work, the effects of varied K_2O loadings through deposition and impregnation methods on NO_x removal activity were experimentally investigated. The maximum NO_x removal efficiency dropped to 30% from 100% when K_2O loading by impregnation reached 1% in mass fraction, while little change was found with the deposition sample.Regeneration of the catalyst with 1% K_2O loading by impregnation was also conducted.Catalyst activity recovered from 30% to 70% after washing with purified water.By washing with 1% H_2SO_4 solution, the catalyst activity at temperatures over 350~(500 ℃) was even higher than that before being poisoned.Microscopic morphology and mechanical performance of the catalyst before and after being poisoned/regenerated varied little by comparisons based on SEM imaging and mechanical strength testing.
