Title: Preparation of poly aluminum chloride and application in micro-polluted raw water
Abstract: In this paper,we measured the optimal preparation conditions, infrared spectroscopy analysis and coagulation /flocculation performance of the polymeric aluminum chloride by acid-leaching technology.Operating variables such as coagulant dosage and micro-polluted raw water initial pH which could affect the coagulation behavior of the synthetic product were experimentally tested. The treatment efficiency were evaluated by investigated both the reduction of total organic carbon(TOC) and residual turbidity. The removal efficiency of TOC was achieved 41.2%,the residual turbidity was less than 1NTU when the coagulant dosage was 40.0mg / L and pH was 6.0 ~ 9.0.Meanwhile,compared with the industrial PAC in application of micro-polluted raw water, the efficiency of turbidity of the self-make PAC was higher than the industrial PAC.
