Title: Factors associated with poorly-controlled hypertension in maintenance hemodialysis patients
Abstract: Aim To explore the risk factors associated with poorly-controlled hypertension in maintenance hemodialysis(MHD)patients. Methods 58 maintenance hemodialysis cases were divided into well-controlled group(23 cases)and poorly-controlled group(25 cases)based on their blood pressure level.Singer-variable analysis and multi-variable analysis were used to analyse the risk factors of poorly-controlled blood pressure in MHD patients. Results Singer-variable analysis showed that weight increment larger than 3 kg during interdialysis period, not receiving HDF,KT/V value less than 1.2,and the types of anti-hypertension drug less than 3 were associated with poorly-controlled hypertension.Multi-variable analysis showed that weight increment larger than 3 kg during interdialysis period, not receiving HDF,KT/V value less than 1.2 were associated with poorly-controlled blood pressure. Conclusion Weight gain too much during the interdialysis period, not receiving HDF,inadequate hemodialysis, and irregular measurement of blood pressure are independent risk factors of poorly-controlled blood pressure in MHD patients.
