Title: A Probe into Agglomeration of Urban Services Industry and Its Regional Disparity
Abstract: Services agglomeration has attracted the attention of scholars both at home and abroad, but the city services agglomeration as a specific object does not see more.To support the theory of the positive development of urban services agglomeration, this empirical research uses spatial Gini coefficient to analyze the evolution of urban services agglomeration and regional differences by province. As it shows in the paper, urban service industry is agglomerating in China, but the level is not high.Different functions of different service lead to different levels of agglomeration. The level of the producer service's agglomeration remains high, far exceeding the level of life service. The agglomeration in the eastern part is higher than that of the central and western regions. The level of service industry's agglomeration in developed areas is higher than that of undeveloped regions.
