Title: POST-AND-CORE-CROWN RESTORATION AFTER TRACTION OF ROOT FRACTURE OF ANTERIOR TEETH
Abstract: Objective To investigate the efficacy of crown restoration after root fracture of anterior teeth. MethodsSixteen patients with 28 fractured roots of front teeth were involved. The root canal therapy was performed first, then traction, and crown restoration later. They were followed for 1-4 years. Results Satisfactory results were achieved in 26 dental cases;two failed: one with dental root fracture, and the other one fell off. Conclusion For those with front dental root fracture, the root traction should be done first, followed by crown renovation, which can preserve not only the natural roots, but also maintain long-term result of the prosthetic replacement.
