Title: Analysis of clinical characters of psychiatric first diagnosis outpatients at different periods.
Abstract: Objective To analyse the ordinary circumstances and diagnosis vicissitude of first diagnosis mental patients at different periods and provide references for the diagnoses and treatments of psychiatric department.Methods Self manufacture questionnaire applied to the psychiatric first diagnosis outpatients during Jan 1 to Dec 31of 1994 and 2005,respectively.Furthermore,SPSS 13.0 was applied to statistically analyse these date.Results Compared with 1994,the amounts of first diagnosis patients increased significantly(2 times),as well as the ratio of urban patients(P0.01) in 2005.Moreover,the average age of first diagnosis patients and the ratios of patients with bachelor and senior high school educated degrees increased significantly(P0.01)in 2005.While the ratios of patients engaged in farm and manufactory reduced significantly in 2005,as well as that of married patients.As far as variation of diagnosis concerned,compared with 1994,ratio of schizophrenia,acute temporary psychosis hysteria and neurasthenia decreased remarkably(P0.01),whereas that of depression anxious disorder non-organic sleep disorder and mental development retarded increased significantly in 2005(P0.01or P0.05).Conclusion The results showed that the psychiatric department outpatient's diagnosed disease types and population distribution had varied in the past decades.It suggested that efforts on prevention and controlling psychosis should be further strengthened in the future.
