Title: Development of the Supreme Court of the United States and the Federalism
Abstract: Federalism has changed greatly in America since it was established in 1787 by Constitution of the united states.Cooperative federalism has replaced Dual Federalism gradually since 1930s. The Supreme Court played an important role during this period because its decisions expanded federal power greatly by explaining constitutional regulations,ratifying and implementing laws enacted by congress,etc.Studies on relations between Federalism and the Supreme Court give us some inspiration.First,the Supreme Court is the most important institution in explaining constitution and supervising constitutional implementation. Second,restraining function of the Supreme Court has shrunk since 1930s.Third,the Supreme Court often changes its stand flexibly.
