Abstract: The unofficial meaning of a word in archaic Chinese is neither the definite expression of its language meaning nor its associative meaning,social meanibg,affective meaning.It refers to the temperary meaning or situational meaning,which diverges from its conceptual meaning.It derives from certain speech circumstance or casually affected mood of the speaker and is usually used in specific linguistic context,in rhetoric,flexible applying of a word or vesting a verb with both exertive and commissive meaning,still the unofficial meaning of a word is affected by its conceptual meaning,speech sound and linguistic context.
