Title: Influence of Intake Phase on Part Load Performance for High Expansion Ratio Gasoline Engine
Abstract: One-dimensional simulation model of 1.8 L natural aspirated gasoline engine was built to study the influence of intake phase on part load performance for high expansion ratio gasoline engine. The cycle with high expansion ratio was carried out based on the original engine and the working performance at different speeds and loads was simulated and calculated. The results show that, compared with the later intake valve closing, the late intake vale closing is more beneficial to reduce pumping loss, improve thermal efficiency and fuel economy at part load.
