Title: CLINICAL STUDY OF DISTALIZING UPPER MOLARS BY MICRO-IMPLANT
Abstract: Objective To evaluate the clinical effects of distalizing upper molars by micro-implant in class Ⅱcase. Methods Ten patients presenting Class Ⅱmolar relationship.Twenty micro-implants were embedded in buccal alveolar, then Ni-Ti coil spring was set maxillary second premolar and maxillary first molar. This study had measured the changes in velocity, distance and position ofmaxillary first molar, which evaluated molar moving from, character to test anchorage intensity. All results were analyzed by statistics. Results The upper molars were distalized bodily on average 5.4 mm in 3~6 months(p0.01).Maxillary central incisor more 2.3mm lingually(p0.05).The horizontal circumvolving angle and buccally moving of molar were of statistic significance. Conclusion During movement of maxillary molar,micro-implant was applied as strong anchorage with minimum anchorage loss.
