Title: A Study on Ethanol-thermal Synthesis of 3,4-Dihydropyrimidin-2(1H)-One
Abstract: 4-phenyl-6-methyl-5-ethoxycarbonyl-3,4-dihydropyrimidin-2(1H)-one was synthesized by ethanol thermal method using sulfamic acid as a catalyst.The optimum conditions were as follows: the amount of benzaldehyde was 10mmol;the molar ratio of benzaldehyde;ethyl acetoacetate;urea and sulfamic acid was 1∶1.2∶1.5∶0.8;the temperature was 80℃ in 10ml absolute ethanol;react for two hours.The yield was 93.6 %.The technology was simple and efficient.
