Title: The Measurement and Effect of the Dynamic Capabilities——The Empirical Evidence From Chinese Enterprise
Abstract: According to the dynamic capabilities view,in today's turbulent environments,competitive advantage results from dynamic capacities to continuously improve,innovate,and reconfigure resources to shape new functional competencies that align with the environment.However,dynamic capabilities have been viewed as abstract phenomena not amenable to managerial action.Therefore,it is meaningful to study on the dimensions of dynamic capabilities and test its contribution to the organizational performance.This paper bases on the dynamic capabilities framework of Teece et al’s.Through a theoretical analysis,and literature research and qualitative research,this paper holds that the measuring dimensions of dynamic capabilities are market orientation,organization learning,integrative capabilities,organizational flexibility and risk prevention capability.With 262 valid samples from a large-scale questionnaire survey,the results support the proposed structure of dynamic capabilities and verify the role of dynamic capabilities on performance.The results also suggest that the effects of the dimensions of dynamic capabilities are different.
