Title: The Effect of Endostatin on Xenograft Angiogenesis of Small Cell Lung Cancer
Abstract: [Purpose] To investigate the effect of endostatin on nude mice xenograft angiogenesis of small cell lung cancer(SCLC). [Methods] Human SCLC cell NCI-H446 was inoculated into nude mice. After the xenograft formation, the mice were randomly divided into three groups: control group with normal saline, group 1 with endostatin 20μg and group 2 with endostatin 40μg injected to the tumor every day. The growth of xenograft was observed and the micro-vessel density in each group was detected. [Results] Different doses of endostatin effect on tumor growth with obvious time-effect and dose-effect relationship. With endostatin dose decreasing, micro-vessel density increased. [Conclusion] Endostatin inhibits growth of xenograft of small cell lung cancer through blocking micro-angiogenesis.
