Title: Progress of brain functional neuroimaging research in patients with post-traumatic stress disorder
Abstract: Post-traumatic stress disorder(PTSD) is a serious problem that affects people who have been exposed to the traumatic events(e.g.,combat,childhood abuse).Over the past several years, there are increasing neuroimaging studies that have focused on this disorder, especially the functional neuroimaging ones.Functional neuroimaging plays an important role in uncovering the abnormal brain regions and neuronal circuitry that mediate PTSD.In this paper,we reviewed the functional neuroimaging findings in patients with PTSD,and suggested possible directions for future research.
