Title: Window-Based End-to-End Congestion Control: Network Stability and Efficiency
Abstract: Although the conventional TCP protocol has already succeeded in controlling the traffic of the current Internet,it leads to very low efficiency of the high bandwidth-delay product network in the future. The authors study the impact of the congestion window increase function on the network stability and efficiency, and the results show that network stability depends on the packet level increment and network efficiency on the RTT level increment.Based on theory work, the authors put forward a new design idea of congestion control, that is to estimate available bandwidth according to congestion feedback signals and make sending rate converging quickly to the available bandwidth and staying around it for a long time.
