Abstract:The understanding of general musicology and so-called culture background,is to collect the content and style of the music performance,and incidentally to explain the purposes of the creation in religi...The understanding of general musicology and so-called culture background,is to collect the content and style of the music performance,and incidentally to explain the purposes of the creation in religion,politics and economy.This inaccurate method is due to the incomprehension that this kind of 'culture background' can be as the 'culture fulcrum' for music phenomena.Combining the music in Meizhou Hakka's 'Xianghua' ceremony,based on the spirit viewpoint of cultural insider,and the detailed behavior of the Hakka's monk in 'body' in the whole music ceremony,this paper adopts 'soul body' as the culture fulcrum.Meantime,based on the description of the relationship of soul and body in Meizhou Hakka's 'Xianghua' ceremony,and the discussion of the deep-seated problems,such as 'existence' and 'soul',this paper puts forward the new theoretical framework for ceremony music: the bidirectional operation pattern of 'soul-body-organization' with the 'Mind' as the fulcrum.This paper also reveals the inner culture map hiding in the soul world of the cultural insider.Read More
