Title: Study on monitoring system of transmission line icing considering the state of overhead transmission lines
Abstract: Recently,the ice disaster of overhead transmission lines is increasingly severe in China.It's very important for us to monitor the icing of transmission lines and take measures to deal with anti-icing and deicing.At present,there are a few mechanical calculation models of overhead lines in China.However,these models have some errors in monitoring the field condition.After analyzing the existing models and extracting the key calculation parameters,an icing calculation model based on the analysis of mechanics on straight tower is proposed.The model takes advantage of the state equation of overhead lines to calculate the length of lines,horizontal stress and vertical load under the change of temperature and external force,then we can get the weight of icing and the equivalent icing thickness.Moreover,the icing model has been applied to the on-line monitoring system,which includes the modeling of icing module,the supervision of warning system and the display of alarm function.An application example shows that the icing model is able to monitor the icing condition of overhead line accurately and make the correct icing alarm.
