Title: Comparative experiment study on beneficiation process flow of a low-grade porphyry copper ore
Abstract: The copper minerals and associated metal resources in a newly-built low-grade porphyry copper mine was extraordinarily large, but the grade of that was low,and it was located at high elevation and so on. In order to develop it effectively and economically, beneficiation process flow applied in the same type mines at home and abroad was used for reference. Based on ore type, properties, disseminated characteristics as well as type and content of valuable minerals, the experimental study on preferential flotation, branch flotation,iso-flotation and bulk flotation were separately carried out. Comparison of experimental results indicated that the bulk flotation and then separation for copper and molybdenite was the most suitable for the porphyry copper ore. The bulk flotation obtained the best indexes: grade of the copper concentrate was 25.19%,recovery was 89.93%; grade of the molybdenite concentrate was 46.87%,recovery was 76.39%; in the copper concentrate,Au content was 3.5g/t and silver content was 56.8g/t,Au recovery and silver recovery separately were 64.68% and 74.39%.
